We will review your family history. Has anyone in the family had blood clots? Does anyone have fibroids? Did you mother or any sisters have trouble getting or staying pregnant?
Depending on your background and family history, we may recommend genetic testing before you get pregnant to see if you and/or your partner are carriers of genetic diseases that can affect your baby.
We will review any medications and supplements that you are taking. You may be taking medications or supplements that are not recommend in pregnancy. If that is the case, we can often recommend alternatives or help you to wean off of them before pregnancy.
